“It is never too late to be what you might have been.”
These words spoken by George Eliot reflect my philosophy as a therapist. Change can happen at any time - all it takes is a commitment to look at oneself, gain insight, and put action steps in to place. I am passionate about helping you walk through this process and navigate the barriers that stand in your way. I will hone your innate strengths and resiliency to harness the life you have imagined for yourself and deserve.
My therapeutic approach is eclectic, as I appreciate the uniqueness of each individual. I will customize the techniques I use based on your personality and life circumstances in order to alter long-standing behavioral patterns and/or perceptions that are negatively impacting your life. My specialized areas of training include treating individuals struggling with a variety of issues ranging from life transitions to mood disorders, codependency, addiction, and trauma. I have completed my EMDRIA approved EMDR Basic Training through the Parnell Institute which specializes in Attachment-Focused EMDR.
My professional training is in the field of social work, for which I hold a master's degree (MSW) from the University of South Florida and am recognized by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCS29542). I have been practicing as a psychotherapist for more than a decade and have worked at every level of care, including private practice, intensive outpatient, residential, and inpatient psychiatric settings.
